Google now offering Domain Name Registration.
Google announced yesterday that it is partnering with Godaddy.com and Enom to offer domain name registrations.
Google will be offering .com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info domains for $10. One unique offering is that the $10 fee will also include free private registrations.
For those of you unfamiliar with private registrations, when you register a domain name, the information you registered with; name, email address, phone number, etc, are all available to the public through “whois” databases. Private registration keeps this information from the whois databases, and simply includes the basic info such as registration date, expiration, and registering company.
While they’re only offering a few domain names now, they plan to offer more in the future.
